Surround and Drown:

Did Firefighters Sink The Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig?

Fire Boats use "Surround and Drown" tactic at the Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig Fire in the Gulf of Mexico.

Could it be possible that the firefighters who fought the Deepwarter Horizon Oil Rig Fire are responsible for the sinking of the burning rig?  Thats one of the possibilities being examined by the Center for Public Integrity.

The Reuter/MSNBC photo above appears to shows the fire boats using a tactic of near last resort.  “Surround and Drown”. With firefighters and equipment safety priority one. The fire structure is surrounded by as many master streams as is possible and the maximum amount of water is applied to the fire structure.
